WHAT IS THE BACKROOMS?

When you noclip out of reality in the wrong places, you end up here: the back of everywhere. Endless rooms that smell of moist carpet and old fluorescent buzz. Half-remembered architecture from a decade that never quite existed.

BACKROOMS is a 10,000-piece collection of photorealistic, cinematic liminal spaces spanning Backrooms, Dreamcore, Weirdcore and Analog Horror. Each level is generated from 22 trait layers — location, lighting, capture medium, anomalies and more — so no two rooms are alike.

Most levels are silent and empty. A rare few contain anomalies — floating doorways, water flowing upward, ceilings that have quietly swapped with the floor. And in fewer than 4% of them, something is watching from the far end of the hall.
